Gant launches Fall/Winter 23 collection inspired by American Academia aesthetic

Gant’s Fall/Winter ’23 collection is a modernized take on sophisticated American New York sportswear. The season takes a cue from America’s East Coast aesthetic, drawing inspiration from pop culture icons of the 1980s and 1990s.

This collection is all about cementing the Gant look and feel of today through a signature blend of vintage-inspired and contemporary pieces. In recent seasons we’ve refined our style and focused on what we do best – combining soft silhouettes with chic American sportswear

In the early fall months of August and September, American academic style takes center stage, with iconic school uniforms and premium sportswear in an authentic college color scheme. Relaxed, casual silhouettes are upgraded and reinforce the 1990s nod. Intellectual references like Argyle and Prince of Wales checks are mixed with worn details.

As the season progresses, American sportswear meets New York chic, influenced by the opulent glamor of the 1980s and the laid-back cool of the 1990s, using luxurious materials to give a sensual twist to sportswear classics.

Key menswear pieces include a contrasting varsity jacket with distressed detailing, a herringbone two-piece suit and matching coat, and a seasonal take on the heavy shearling jacket.

Women’s fashion is all about coordinating pieces, this season in checked wool in autumnal tones. A longline shearling coat with a touch of 1980s glam embodies the season’s directional style.

Premium shirting, a true Gant hallmark, takes center stage alongside tuxedo-inspired pieces as the season moves into the holiday season.

The color scheme that runs throughout the collection remains neutral, with camel and taupe tones alongside classic black, through to navy blue and warm khaki green tones that add seasonal depth.
