Noussair Mazraoui returns to Ajax’s base for the home match against FC Twente. The Moroccan wing defender was missing midweek in the cup match with Vitesse (5-0). Mazraoui was injured a week ago in the final phase of the won competition match against Heracles Almelo (3-0).

With Devyne Rensch as right back, Ajax reached the semi-finals of the KNVB Cup tournament. Mazraoui will return to the team against FC Twente, the current number 5 in the Eredivisie. Trainer Erik ten Hag leaves his team unchanged. Ryan Gravenberch may be fit again, but the midfielder is sitting on the bench. Steven Berghuis will start on the left side of midfield, just like in the last two games. Davy Klaassen is the number 10 behind striker Sébastien Haller.

With a win over Twente, Ajax increases its lead over pursuer PSV again to 5 points. The duel in the Johan Cruijff ArenA starts at 4.45 pm.

Feyenoord will start the away match against RKC Waalwijk at 2.30 pm with the same eleven players as last week against Sparta. Trainer Arne Slot sees no reason to adjust his team after the derby won in De Kuip (4-0). Reiss Nelson will return to the selection after a corona infection, but the English attacker is on the bench.

Feyenoord resumed the competition after the winter break with a defeat against Vitesse (0-1), but then recorded convincing victories over NEC (1-4) and Sparta. Slot’s team is in third place in the Eredivisie, behind leaders Ajax and PSV. RKC takes thirteenth place. The team of coach Joseph Oosting won two of the three competition matches after the winter break. RKC was outclassed by AZ (0-4) in the quarterfinals of the cup tournament this week.
