Virtus.pro has won the playoff finals of the European Rainbow Six league. The Russian Siege team won the final game of Stage 1 on Friday 2-1 (7-4, 7-8, 7-4) against the Six Invitational winners and reigning world champions G2 Esports.
With their entry into the final on Monday evening, both teams have already secured a place among the top 16 teams of the Copenhagen Major, which takes place from April 24th to May 7th in the Danish capital. Thanks to their win over G2, Virtus.pro see four-fifths of former Team Empire returning to the international stage for the first time since reaching the finals of the Six Invitational 2022.
In the lower bracket final of the playoffs, MNM Gaming secured major participation with a 2:1 (2:7, 7:3, 7:5) against the German team Wylde of co-owner Usain Bolt.
The fourth and last European Major participant will be determined on Thursday in the final of the Last Chance Qualifier. Featuring major champions Koi and Team BDS, as well as Wolves Esports, Heroic and Team Secret, among others. Wylde also gets another chance to participate in the first international tournament of the year.
