Suzanne Schulting hopes to win her third gold Olympic medal today. The 24-year-old Dutch short track star participates in the A-final with the Dutch relay team at 12.44 pm. Four years earlier, the team of national coach Jeroen Otter won bronze.
Schulting previously won gold in the 1000 meters at these Games. The Frisian already wrote that distance in Pyeongchang (2018) to her name. She took silver in the 500 meters in Beijing. In addition to Schulting, the Dutch team consists of Xandra Velzeboer, Selma Poutsma and Yara van Kerkhof on Sunday. It is the first time that the Netherlands in the Olympic A-final state.
To skate
In the long track speed skating, it is the women’s turn in the 500 meters. Jutta Leerdam, Femke Kok and Michelle de Jong are the three Dutch participants. The 21-year-old Kok, in particular, has a great chance of winning a medal. Last year she won silver at the World Single Distance Championships in Heerenveen and was the best in four World Cup competitions. She has not yet been able to win internationally this season. Debutants
Monobobster Karlien Sleper and skier Maarten Meiners made their debut at the Games. Sleper knew a disappointing olympic debut after her first two runs with sixteenth place, her third and fourth runs will follow tomorrow. Meiners participates in the giant slalom. He was 22nd after the first run. The second run will follow later today.
