Oriol Alsina’s men visit the Balearic Islands this Thursday with the aim of getting further away from the red zone and dreaming, why not, of the play-off
Dani Merchán, with a sprain, is out at the last minute and joins the injured Becerra and Juan. Mate, by sanction, will not be there either
Formentera and Badalona Futur open this Thursday (4:30 p.m.) matchday 29 in group 3 of the Second Federation in a key match for the Catalans. Those of Oriol Alsina visit the Balearic island with the option of hitting the table in search of salvation and, incidentally, get closer to the play-off zone.
After beating the Penya Deportiva, Badalona Futur took a breath and aspires to continue moving away from the burning of relegation, where at the beginning of the season they settled for many days. Dani Merchán, with a sprain, is out at the last minute and joins the injured Becerra and Juan. Mate, by sanction, will not be there either.
For its part, Formentera arrives in low hours after adding one point from the last nine. Escoruela, De la Mata, Algisi are their absences due to injury and Celihueta by sanction.
Advanced duels in Third Federation
In another order, Holy Week also leaves advanced games in the Catalan group of Tercera RFEF. Specifically there are four, one of them this Thursday with the Peralada-Castelldefels (6:30 p.m.). The ‘xampanyers’ who ensure the play-off and the field factor in it against some ‘sailors’ with nothing at stake.
This Friday, three games are also played: FE Grama-San Cristóbal (11:45 a.m.), Tona-Sants (11:45 a.m.) and Vilafranca-Badalona (12:00 a.m.). La Grama wants to score points to continue avoiding possible uncompensated relegations while ‘Sancris’ pursues mathematically securing the play-off.
The other two duels are key in the lower zone, with a Sants without margin of error and a Vilafranca-Badalona, who currently mark salvation and who play it in a game of more than three points.
