Nicholas Mazzei takes over as Head of Corporate Responsibility at Asos.
Mazzei announced his new position on Tuesday on the LinkedIn careers network. The specialist magazine Textilwirtschaft had previously reported on it. Mazzei was previously Head of Corporate Citizenship and Environmental Sustainability at the Berlin online retailer Zalando.
“I’m sad that I have to leave my wonderful friends and colleagues at Zalando behind,” says Mazzei. “I learned a lot from a great group of sustainability leaders and had the opportunity to do some wonderful things and make a difference on many issues.”
At the UK online retailer, he is responsible for social responsibility, the Asos Foundation and external Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and net zero targets.
Mazzei takes over for Tom Byrne, who has left Asos after more than three and a half years, according to his Linkedin profile. He has had a new job with British Airways since the beginning of the year.
Asos has not yet responded to a request from FashionUnited.
