gold in skeletonbronze in ski jumping – Saturday at the Olympic Games in Beijing was again marked by German successes. DSV athletes will be there again on Sunday when it comes to medals. This time the focus is on alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and biathlon. Will it be a golden sunday? The decisions on February 13, 2022 with German participants at a glance:

6:45 am: Alpine skiing, men’s giant slalom, 2nd round

A German medal would be a sensation – Linus Straßer, Alexander Schmid and Julian Rauchfuss have at best outsider chances. The medals will probably be top stars like Marco Odermatt (Switzerland), Henrik Kristoffersen (Norway) and
Manuel Feller (Austria) among themselves. At the last Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Austria’s Marcel Hirscher raced to gold.

8 o’clock: Cross-country skiing, men’s 4 x 10 km relay

What is going on for the German season around Janosch Brugger, Friedrich Moch, Florian Notz and Lucas Bögl? After gold in 2018, the Norwegian team is one of the favorites again this year, and the Russian Olympic Committee and Finland are also highly valued.

10 O `clock: Biathlon, women’s 10 km pursuit

Is there the next biathlon coup for Germany? Denise Herrmann, Vanessa Hinz, Franziska Preuss and Vanessa Voigt will be at the start and will do everything to succeed Laura Dahlmeier – who triumphed over this distance in Pyeongchang in 2018. But the favorites are others: Marte Olsbu Röiseland (Norway), Elvira Öberg (Sweden) and Dorothea Wierer (Italy).

11:45 am: Biathlon, men’s 12.5 km pursuit

Here, too, the same applies today to Benedikt Doll, Roman Rees, Philipp Nawrath and Johannes Kühn. The competition for the top favorite Johannes Thingnes Bö (Norway) and Quentin Fillon Maillet (France) seems overwhelming – but a surprise can never be ruled out. In 2018 in Pyeongchang, biathlon legend Martin Fourcade had won gold.
