The Italian prevailed 6-7(4), 6-4 and 6-2 and prevents the Murcian from defending the title in Miami

Medvedev will be the rival of San Candido in the final

The Spanish Carlos Alcaraz fell this Friday in the semifinals of the Miami Masters 1,000 against the Italian Jannik Sinner (6-7 (4), 6-4 and 6-2) and lost the world number one ranking in favor of the Serbian Novak Djokovic.

After an extraordinary start to the season, in which he was crowned in Indian Wells with the third Masters 1,000 of his career, Alcaraz lost to Sinner his second match of a year in which he already has 18 victories.

Sinner, who had lost to Alcaraz in the Indian Wells semifinals, will play the final this Sunday against Russian Daniil Medvedev, executioner of his compatriot Karen Khachanov.
