drs. E. (Erwin) Nijsse will become Director-General of Business and Innovation at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The Council of Ministers has approved the nomination on the proposal of Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. The appointment will take effect on 1 May 2023.
Erwin Nijsse has been working at the National Growth Fund Staff Directorate at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate since 2020. From September 2021 he was director there. Before that, he held various positions at Shell in the Netherlands and abroad for 25 years in the fields of strategy and finance. Erwin Nijsse studied General Economics at the University of Groningen and International Economics and Finance at the University of Kiel in Germany.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service. The recruitment and selection for this appointment was done by the Directorate-General for the General Administrative Service and the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
