The Tate brothers were arrested in Romania at the end of December on suspicion of human trafficking and rape. Tate, 36, and his brother deny the allegations. Last week, the court in the Romanian capital ruled that the two must remain in jail until at least the end of April pending their trial.

Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer, has millions of followers on social media. He has been banned from platforms such as Twitter and Instagram in the past for his hate speech towards women.

Leaked court documents state, according to the BBC testimonials from alleged victims who claim to have been forced under threat of violence to earn 10,000 euros a month on social media platforms. Prosecutors have identified six women as victims.
