The controversial debut of Emilio Pérsico

To the rhythm of cumbia and oppressive heat, on Friday March 17 the piquetero party La Patria de los Comunes was launched, from emilio persicothe leader of Evita Movement. Endless lines of beneficiaries of social plans, organized almost martially, filled the field of Deportivo Español, in Bajo Flores, with flags of their organizations.

The Pérsico party postulates its partner, Patricia Covered, for mayor of La Matanza at a time that was at least controversial. Because the truth is that, only three days before the launch, Elisa Carrió’s Civic Coalition presented a brief in the Justice in which complaint to the Evita Movement for the diversion of almost 4,000 million pesos of the Potenciar Trabajo plans towards their cooperatives.

According to the complaint, Pérsico, in his double role of piquetero leader and functionary of the Ministry of Social Development, is “on both sides of the counter”, that is to say that there is an incompatibility of functions. The fact was already being investigated, but the accusation by the Civic Coalition added new elements.

The Secretary of Social Economy -that is his position- defended himself at the launching ceremony of his new space. “That happens when there is a black in the State,” he excused himself. without giving further proof of his innocence-, but we have not yet begun to occupy the counters.

They were also in the box Daniel Menendezfrom Barrios de Pie, and Fernando “Chino” Navarro, officials like Pérsico, and the mayor of Moreno, Mariel Fernandez, partner of Esteban “Gringo” Castro, general secretary of the Union of Workers of the Popular Economy (UTEP), as well as a candidate for Cubría. Together with them, Juan Manuel Abal Medina, the former chief of staff of Cristina Kirchner and intellectual creator of the group.

In recent articles, Pérsico tried to defend his neutrality within the front of allalthough it is an open secret that his electoral adventure in La Matanza -the district of fernando espinoza, an adversary of La Cámpora – has the approval of Máximo Kirchner and his mother. Mayor Fernández cleared up any doubts in her speech, when she thanked “comrade Máximo, who summoned me and gave me this place” as vice president of the Buenos Aires PJ. Obviously, the pact with La Cámpora exists.
