Lorenzo starts from the second round at the Masters 1000 in Miami: challenge between very young people against the Czech
The draw could certainly have been more benevolent with Lorenzo Musetti. The tennis player from Carrara has to rediscover certainties after an extremely complicated period and it won’t be easy against Jiri Lehecka, opponent in the second round at the Masters 1000 in Miami: Musetti didn’t play the first as he is seeded, number 18. For whoever wins there will be then the challenge with one of Khachanov and Etcheverry.
The prediction
—
Musetti hasn’t won since the Buenos Aires match against Pedro Cachin. Since then he has lost all four games played against opponents within reach: Varillas, Jarry, Munar and Mannarino. Lehecka, on paper, is more dangerous than all of them. The Czech, number 44 in the world, this year reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open (knockout against Tsitsipas) and the semifinals of Doha (defeat against Murray in the decisive tie break). In the first round in Miami he got the better of Coria, with a clean 6-3 6-4. It will certainly be a tough game for Lorenzo, but the opponent’s high level of danger can make the Carrara find the right motivations. A long and tight game could therefore arise: the Over 22.5 of total games is given at 1.94 by PlanetWin, 1.89 by Better, 1.83 by Sisal.

For all the main betting sites, although the ranking difference is in Musetti’s favor, Lehecka is the favorite of the Miami match: the Czech’s success is given at 1.44 by PokerStars, 1.42 by Betfair, 1.40 by Better. While the odds for Musetti’s victory range from 3.00 for Bet365 to 2.63 for Pokerstars, passing through 2.95 for Sisal. For bookmakers, the most probable outcome is Lehecka’s victory in two sets (2.20 for Bet365, 2.15 for Sisal, 2.10 for Betfair), the most difficult to achieve is Musetti’s success in three (6.20 for GoldBet and Better, 6.10 for StarCasino). In the only match between the two, last year in Rotterdam in the quarterfinals, he defeated the Czech with a score of 6-3 1-6 7-5.
