On January 28th, Tocotronic released their 13th studio album NIE WIEDER KRIEG, which has made it to number 1 in the German vinyl charts. With that they relegated THE ZEALOT GENE of the British rock group Jethro Tull to second place.
Bonobo follows in third place with FRAGMENTS, who acts as producer, composer, musician and DJ on the record. Eric Clapton is back in place with THE LADY IN THE BALCONY: THE LOCKDOWN SESSIONS (LIVE). The top 5 is completed by Canadian alternative formation Billy Talent (CRISIS OF FAITH).
New in the top ten is CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT by Norwegian indie trio Madrugada. Still in first place last month, ABBA’s VOYAGE is now in eighth position.
The Official German Vinyl Charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Bundesverband Musikindustrie eV. The monthly hit lists are based on sales and usage data from 2,800 retailers.
