In the first round of the championship poule, the black and whites won 2-0: the protagonist was the Dutch forward, who scored and obtained a penalty. Giallorosse however at +8 in the standings
Juventus Women beat Milan 2-0 and responded remotely to Roma’s 5-1 win over Fiorentina, in the first round of the women’s Serie A championship poule, keeping alive the few hopes of reopening the discussions relating to the championship again: the black and white they are eight lengths away, they must hope for at least one misstep by Spugna’s Giallorossi, as well as on direct clashes, in order not to see the tricolor fade after five consecutive seasons. It was a balanced match, in which the team that made the most of the opportunities in their favor had the upper hand. Absolute protagonist of the match Beerensteryn, who rises to nine league goals: the Belgian striker is undoubtedly the summer reinforcement who has given the most satisfaction during the season.
ERROR FROM DISK
—
Pedersen stops a few hours from the match (grievance in the thigh), Montemurro surprisingly proposes Nystrom but is forced to give Girelli a starting shirt anyway (initially excluded) due to Gunnarsdottir’s forfeit in the pre-match, stopped by a problem intestinal. Milan took all the points available against the black and whites in the first phase and also in this circumstance they try to confirm the trend. In fact, after Juve’s first chances, which the black and white forwards didn’t exploit properly, the key episode of the first half was in favor of Ganz’s formation, who missed the lead by missing a penalty kick with Piemonte just before half-time now: penalty awarded for a clear foul by Peyraud-Magnin on Grimshaw, the Rossoneri forward shoots high in an attempt to displace the Juventus goalkeeper.
BEERENSTEYN DECIDES
—
There is more Juve in the second half, right from a first corner kick from Grosso that Giuliani blocks in the exit. Beerensteyn, after an unlucky first attempt from inside the Rossoneri area, manages to hit the target by attacking the goal by escaping from the control of the opponents in the left-handed lane: this time he finds the space and time to make his conclusion unstoppable. The reaction to Milan’s disadvantage was almost immediate, but Bergamaschi was unable to take full advantage of a mistake by the black and white rearguard: his shot hit the post to the right of Peyraud-Magnin, the opportunity vanished. Mointemurro’s team stays high, defends intelligently and tries to accelerate when given the chance. At the end of the five minutes of added time, Beerensteyn was brought down in the area by Mesjasz and Mr. Monaldi conceded the second penalty kick of the match. Caruso made no mistake: it ended 2-0.
