The Danish fashion label Ganni is expanding its presence in Germany. On Thursday, the company announced that it would be opening its second flagship store in Hamburg. The brand chose the popular shopping street Große Bleichen in the center of the Hanseatic city as the location. The opening in the Kaisergalerie (Große Bleichen 23-27) is planned for the third week of May.
Ganni restarted in Germany last fall. In October, the label opened its first flagship store in Berlin’s Rochstrasse. The clothing supplier had already operated three stores in Germany a few years previously, but they all closed again by 2017.
As in Berlin, Ganni also wants to work with local artists in Hamburg when designing the store. Already at the opening “a number of interesting partnerships will start”, announced the clothing supplier.
The inspiration for the shopfitting concept was the “house of the family of the Ganni founders, the couple Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup,” the company explained. It is characterized by “an eclectic mix of retro vases, vintage furniture and a selection of art by female talent”.
