‘Victim Marco Borsato possibly angry or confused’

Ruud de Wild doubts the young lady who claims that she has been abused by Marco Borsato since she was fifteen. “It could be that she lied or was just confused.”

Victims of sexual abuse often do not dare to report it because they are afraid of not being believed. After all, almost all of them have to deal with that, including the alleged victim of Marco Borsato. According to Ruud de Wild, for example, it is quite possible that she is just a boat angry, confused or resentful.

Ruud supports Marco

Marco’s declarant says that the singer abused herself from the age of fifteen and reported it in December 2021. There are currently noises in the media that Marco is not being prosecuted by the Public Prosecution Service, but that is emphatically not related to this case, but to his alleged acts of violence at The Voice of Holland.

What does Ruud think? He talks on his radio show The Wild in the Afternoon that he has feelings of pity for the singer. “I am really serious about Marco Borsato,” says the love partner of Olcay Gulsen, who is an ambassador for UN Women, a body that is committed to the empowerment of women.

“Maybe she’s lying!”

Ruud takes seriously into account that Marco is the big victim here. “Do you know why? Just imagine if it was a mistake after all and maybe the lady didn’t fully see what happened or it’s not true or it’s all bullshit, that it was a lie because she was just angry, or because she was confused.”

He continues: “That’s possible, isn’t it? That could be. Just imagine that you are Marco Borsato. What then? Then your life is broken, forever. That man has not been outside for three years.”

Gorlaps

Earlier Ruud also stepped into the breach for Ali B and Jeroen Rietbergen, but they are now actually being prosecuted for the Public Prosecution Service. It seems that Ruud still gives them the benefit of the doubt. He jokes: “They are gourds. Ali B really raped Jeroen Rietbergen a few times.”

The radio DJ seems to find it all a bit exaggerated. “All joking aside, Ali B and Jeroen Rietbergen are being prosecuted, but it is not up to us to judge that.”

Does he think people generally judge too quickly? “Yes, I think so.”

Then Ruud starts a record by Marco Borsato.
