One of the most beautiful corners of the capital transformed into an open-air landfill. Last October, Betis Sevilla fans arrived in Rome to watch the Europa League match against the Mourinho gang. While waiting for the match, thousands of supporters of the Andalusian club gathered in Piazza del Popolo to enjoy the pre-match together. And right there they left mountains of waste. It took more than three hours to clean up the square. “What happened cannot be tolerated: these are not fans but beasts”, commented Monica Lucarelli, city councilor with responsibility for security.
