SV Elversberg also fails at 1860 Munich

Leader SV Elversberg is in the 3rd division in a result crisis. The Saarlanders remained 1-1 (1-1) at 1860 Munich for the fourth game in a row without a win, but still lead the table with 59 points.

Nico Antonitsch (18th) gave Elversberg the lead, Joseph Boyamba (34th) equalized for the lions. Munich (37 points) have been waiting for a threesome for eight matches and are increasingly losing sight of the promotion places.

VfL Osnabrück (47) also suffered a setback in the fight for the top spots. After ten wins in the last eleven games, VfL had to settle for a 1-1 (1-0) draw at Rot-Weiss Essen. The former second division team nevertheless improved to third place, at least by Wednesday, which would currently entitle them to direct promotion because SC Freiburg II is not allowed to move up.

Coach Ernst Middendorp messed up his home debut with SV Meppen. The Emsländer lost against SC Verl 1:3 (0:2) and remain penultimate. Meppen had scored a point in Elversberg for Middendorp’s debut.

Erzgebirge Aue won 2-0 (0-0) at FSV Zwickau, Hallesche FC and Viktoria Köln drew 2-2 (0-0).
