The accidental death of a cyclist in the Bundesallee. Now there are new insights. A comment from BZ editor Maren Wittge.

Tragic and fatal accidents are almost part of everyday life in Berlin – unfortunately. But there were never as many inconsistencies and participants as in the accidental death of Sandra U. on Bundesallee last year.

The cyclist is run over by a concrete mixer, whose driver is stabbed by a passer-by. And then the climate activists are said to have been to blame because rescue workers allegedly arrived late at the scene of the accident due to their road blockade several kilometers away.

For the relatives an almost agonizing guesswork. And now the police are also saying that Sandra U. is partly to blame.

Why does it take almost four and a half months to reconstruct the course of the accident? Something like that has to go faster.
