Rapper Donnie Battered From TV Arena: Even Replay Scores Better

Rapper Donnie is perfectly suited for Qmusic’s Het Foute Hour, but it really ends there. He comes out of his presentation debut with bumps, scrapes and scars.

The NIX Factor, a program about people who cannot sing, has an experience expert as a presenter: rapper Donnie. His debut as a TV star scored so badly last week – 223 thousand people watched the first episode – that SBS 6 immediately decided to dump him in the night programming.

Donnie down

Donnie goes into the night, last night at 11:50 p.m., of course, even further down. He has 52 thousand viewers (4 percent). And the Ik Hou Van Holland rerun that took its place at 8:30 p.m.? 363 thousand people (7 percent) watched it. So a repeat can score even better than a new show with Donnie.

Incidentally, it is curious that SBS 6 has chosen not to move the more successful De Alleskunner from 9:30 pm to 8:00 pm, immediately after the popular Lachen Om Home Videos, because that show is now struggling with the bad lead-in of a rerun. 535 thousand people (11 percent) watched it, which is 63 percent higher than last week.

Programming error

AD media journalist Marcus den Blanken thinks it is a blunder. “Incomprehensible programming error on SBS 6. Repetition of Ik Hou van Holland has replaced NIX Factor. All-rounder stayed at 9:30 pm. That now only attracts half a million viewers. I love Holland causes a dip with 363k. Even existing successes are under pressure now,” he tweeted.

RTL Boulevard reporter Joost Maiburg on this: “De Alleskunner scores 63 percent higher than last week, but it is indeed lower than they are used to.”

Marcus: “Yes exactly. Nice rise. But a lot of people just don’t know how to find it.”

Overkill

Joost thinks that SBS 6 now broadcasts De Alleskunner very often. “In thirteen months time, two regular series, two VIPS seasons and a Christmas special. Bit of overkill.”

Marcus: “Yes, if it had had a million viewers, it would have been daily, just like VI. That’s how it goes.”

Tina Nijkamp adds on Instagram: “And the poison cup is not yet empty for Talpa. Net5 aired a rerun of Avastars. And that scored even less than De NIX Factor in the night: 40 thousand viewers. A horrible viewing figures weekend for John de Mol.”
