In order to clarify the question of which countries have the highest level of corruption, the international non-governmental organization Transparency International has identified the world’s best-known corruption indicator, the so-called Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI). The index is based on the assessment of experts and evaluates the degree of corruption perceived in politics and administration. The results were summarized in this ranking of the ten most corrupt countries in the world.
