Was left out under coach Schopp
Okan Aydin leaves the Austrian Bundesliga and moves to Debreceni VSC. The Hungarian first division club announced the signing of the German-Turk on Tuesday evening, the Nemzeti Bajnokság’s deadline day.
The 28-year-old offensive player played 16 games for TSV Hartberg this season, in which he contributed four goals and two assists. Coach Markus Schopp, who was hired in December, planned for the future without Aydin, who was involved in eleven goals in 30 games for Hartberg.
Aydin comes from the Bayer Leverkusen youth team and also played for Rot-Weiss Erfurt, Chemnitzer FC and Viktoria 1889 Berlin in Germany. SK Austria Klagenfurt was his first stop in Austria. After an interlude in China with Jiangxi Beidamen, he returned in January 2021 and switched to FC Wacker Innsbruck, one year later Hartberg signed Aydin.
