Johan Derksen advocates adding music to the format of his daily talk show Today Inside. “I just hope that Talpa sees that the program will be brighter.”
An Elvis Presley impersonator who won a program on SBS 6 was the house band of Today Inside for a while last night. And that is what the gentlemen of Today Inside, who regularly worked with permanent bands in the past, really liked. In fact, they hope to get a format change through at the top of the channel.
Happier
Johan Derksen is very serious about it. “I just hope, and I think that René agrees with that, that the management of Talpa, who knows a lot about making television, sees that with a tape the program is a bit more colorful,” he says at the table at Inside today.
Colleague René van der Gijp: “It’s more cheerful. It’s more cheerful, yes.”
And Wilfred Genee: “Yes, it is much more cheerful.”
‘Works better’
Wilfred believes in it. “It is true: it works better with a band. Even if you will only do it once or twice a week, the beginning and the end of the week: it lives a bit more. I will include it in the negotiations of the week.”
Table guest Job Knoester: “Yes, for example on Friday.”
Johan: “Yes, either a band or we’re done!”
René: “Nice, nice, cozy. A nice start.”
Long musical performances are rare in TV shows as viewers would zap away. It is unclear to what extent the VI viewer is waiting for music.
