The Toyota Corolla Cross expands the range of available engines by adding the 1.8 hybrid. Just like the 2-litre system available at the launch of the Corolla Cross, this new version features the fifth generation of Toyota’s leading full hybrid technology. The Japanese company thus expands the range dedicated to the C-segment SUV.
Corolla Cross 1.8 Hybrid: technical characteristics
—
The Corolla Cross 1.8 hybrid features a hybrid system that combines the 1.8-litre engine with an electric motor, with a total power of 140 HP and a 0-100 in 9.9 seconds. This system allows the car to drive in fully electric mode for a few kilometres. The 1.8-litre Corolla Cross uses the same GA-C platform as the 2-litre version; the main difference is the change from a multilink double wishbone rear suspension to a high stiffness torsion bar, and the car also has more boot space (+37 litres). The front suspension remains the same.
interiors
—
The Corolla Cross is equipped with the latest version of the Smart Connect multimedia system, which features a 10.5 central touchscreen display, equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity. The car is also equipped with T-Mate, which combines the latest generation Toyota Safety Sense package with other active driving and parking assistance systems.

Two layouts are foreseen: Trend and Lounge. The Trend trim level offers 18″ alloy wheels as standard, bi-LED headlights, automatic climate control, the latest generation Toyota Safety Sense 3 active safety system package, the Smart Connect multimedia system with 10.5″ screen, the 12.3” digital cockpit, the electrically operated tailgate and tinted rear windows. The Lounge adds leather and fabric interiors with heated seats, Blind Spot Monitors, and a panoramic roof. The gateway to Corolla Cross MY23 is the Trend 1.8L version, which has a price list of 37,300 euros, while the Lounge version has a price of 39,300 euros. Upgrading to the 2.0-litre engine requires an additional 1,500 euros, while the intelligent AWD-i all-wheel drive system, available on both 2.0L trim levels, instead provides for a surcharge of 2,500 euros. The launch promotion provides a discount of 3,500 euros in the case of Toyota Easy financing and is valid for all engine and trim combinations. The Corolla Cross range therefore has a price starting from 33,800 euros for the 1.8 Trend version.
