Came from St. Pauli in the summer
Daniel-Kofi Kyereh (26) will be absent from SC Freiburg for the rest of the season. As the sports club announced on Friday, the offensive player, who was signed by FC St. Pauli for 4.5 million euros in the summer, suffered a cruciate ligament tear in training and will undergo an operation in the next few days.
After his arrival in Freiburg, Kyereh had made seven starting XI appearances, mostly as a hanging striker, and contributed two goals. He also scored once in four Europa League games. With the move, which brought in a club record sum for St. Pauli, and with the positive start in Breisgau, Kyereh had recorded a market value increase of 5 million to 8 million euros in the past two updates in the Bundesliga.
