The National Police and the Urban Police of Barcelona have activated this Tuesday a joint operation against a Latin gang from Honduras based in Barcelona. According to the sources consulted by EL PERIÓDICO, it is about 18th Quarteralso known as Mary 18one of the most deeply rooted groups in Central America.
The investigation is led by the General Information Commissioner of the state body, based in Madrid, and began several months ago. The National Police contacted the Urbana, which, due to its work on the ground, had information about the members of this group. The investigations that have been carried out between both police forces, which are under summary secrecy by court order, have led to Nou Barris.
The epicenter of the intervention was in that district and two addresses and one store have been registered. The police have also entered two other residences, located in the district of Sant Andreu and in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.

The intervention ended when it was possible to locate one of the suspects, whose whereabouts remained unknown when fourteen of those investigated were already handcuffed. In the middle of the afternoon, the agents have found the latter and the balance of detainees has risen to fifteen.
The investigation, which will remain open after the coup on Tuesday, attributes to the defendants the crimes of belonging to a criminal organization, threats and drug trafficking.
