Escalators at the station are working again: “It makes sense to keep insisting.”
The escalators at the Stationsplein in Bruges were out of use for several years. The city of Bruges received many complaints about this, also because the stairs lead to the ‘House of the Bruges residents’.
The escalators were finally repaired in August last year, but a few days later the escalators were again defective and until recently they still were. Now city council member Annick Lambrecht (Vooruit) has announced that the escalators are running again. “Keep insisting makes sense. Not giving up makes sense. The escalators are working again. yes!”
Lambrecht has long been demanding a solution for the stairs from the Bruges city council. The politician asked, among other things, five written questions.
