LeBron James equals Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record in the North American Basketball League NBA getting closer.
Against the New Orleans Pelicans the 38-year-old basketball superstar scored 27 points for the Los Angeles Lakers. He did not prevent the 126:131 defeat. The Lakers, with German international Dennis Schröder, had previously won twice in the race for a playoff spot.
“Tired As Anything”
James was on the field for almost the entire season. He’s just 36 points short of Abdul-Jabbar’s points record. “I’m tired as usual, but ready for Tuesday”said James after the game. Then the Lakers receive the Oklahoma City Thunder. Schröder only scored seven points but was the Lakers’ best assist with ten assists.
However, the best man of the evening came from the Pelicans: Brandon Ingram scored a strong 35 points after an injury break of almost two months. It was the first win for New Orleans after ten defeats, and the Pelicans are also fighting for the playoffs.
Hartenstein is defeated by the Clippers with the Knicks
