A runner was hit by a car on Thursday evening on the Lunettenlaan in Vught. The man was seriously injured.
The victim ran with a woman across the Lunettenlaan. The motorist overlooked the runners and hit the man. The woman was unharmed. It is not clear whether the runners were carrying lights.
Several ambulances arrived at the scene of the accident. The air ambulance landed near the prison.
