Ingolstadt extended with national player

The ERC Ingolstadt from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) will continue to rely on the services of national player Daniel Pietta (36) in the future.

As the third-placed player announced on Wednesday, the striker’s contract has been extended by two more years to 2025. With 720 points, Pietta is the fourth best scorer in league history.

In the current season, Pietta, who switched from the Krefeld Pinguinen to the ERC in November 2020, has had 27 goals in 40 games.

“Not only with his experience, but also as a contact and advisor for the young players, he is an important part of our team,” said Ingolstadt’s sporting director Tim Regan.
