Coldplay face, guitarist and vocalist Chris Martin has announced a new Coldplay album called MOON MUSIC. His band is already on the home stretch and is in the process of completing work on the new album. Along with the British band’s lead guitarist, Martin made the announcement during an interview with Canadian radio station CityNews. It is intended to follow MUSIC OF THE SPHERES, which was released in October 2021, and thus become a kind of second MUSIC OF THE SPHERES.
In the course of this, the quartet is doing an extensive world tour this year. However, no concert is planned in Germany, after which the band was in Frankfurt in the summer of 2022 and, three times in a row, in Berlin. During the tour the first songs of MOON MUSIC could already be played. However, the album does not yet have a release date. After the band announced at the end of 2021 that 2025 could be the end of new music, fans can now be happy for now.
MOON MUSIC will be the band’s tenth album, which celebrated their successful debut album in 2000 with PARACUTES. It received numerous platinum awards worldwide. Afterwards, Coldplay was able to win various prizes. Including seven Grammys, three of which they received for 2008’s VIVA LA VIDA OR DEATH AND ALL HIS FRIENDS and the single “Viva La Vida”.
