Miley Cyrus has been claiming first place in the German single charts for the first time in her career since January 27, 2023. “Flowers” is already a strong candidate to become one of the most successful hits of the current year – that it will be the biggest of Cyrus’ career is already considered relatively certain.

In the US, “Flowers” is her first number-one single since 2014. In the two full weeks following its release on January 13, 2023, the song was the most-streamed single-week Spotify song of all time twice in a row – Cyrus breaking with it Records set by streaming stars like Taylor Swift and BTS. With over a quarter billion streams on Spotify and 138 million views on YouTube, her self-help anthem is fast becoming her most popular song. So far, at least according to Spotify’s figures, “Party in the USA” has held this title with almost 1.1 billion plays.

Her biggest chart success in Germany so far was in 2013 with “Wrecking Ball”. The song peaked at number 6 and stayed on the charts for a total of 35 weeks. “Flowers” is the first single from their eighth album ENDELSS SUMMER VACATION, which has been announced for March 10, 2023.
