The journey to Jerusalem was anything but prosperous for the couple. Dog Maurice also joined the adventure. After just over a month, Monique suffered an acute hernia after falling in Germany. Monique went back home to recover and Barry continued the journey with dog Maurice. After Barry crossed the Alps, Monique was able to rejoin in Bosnia-Herzegovina at the end of September.
