Table foamer stays in De Haan for a week and leaves without paying

The man had been staying in the hotel for a week, celebrated New Year’s Eve there and also visited several catering establishments in De Haan and Wenduine. Each time he left without paying.

Manager Joeri Van Doninck did not have the impression that the man had bad intentions. The person in question was friendly, but left his bill of 910 euros unpaid. The man said that he came to take a rest until he started working there, but suddenly he had disappeared.

When checking his room, the manager found an invoice from another hotel. He had just done the same there. And apparently it didn’t stop at those two hotels, Van Doninck said. He has eaten at various bistros and restaurants, and even rented an apartment. The man seems to know very well what he is doing.

The public prosecutor’s office is investigating the case, but does not want to say anything for the time being because the case is still ongoing.
