What was that? After the attacks on rescue workers with pyrotechnics, Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (59, SPD) tweeted a strange proposal on Twitter on New Year’s Day.
Lauterbach wrote: “It’s a shame that a small group of chaotic people are attacking the emergency services. Thank you to everyone who helped the injured and sick that night. Reckless endangerment of the rescue workers should be a reason for termination of the apartment.
Background: In Berlin in particular, there were numerous incidents on New Year’s Eve, including fires and firecrackers thrown at balconies and passers-by, as well as attacks on police officers and rescue workers.
According to official information, emergency services were attacked in 38 cases and 15 of them were injured. One of the injured rescuers even had to be hospitalized.
The termination of the apartment as a punishment for assaults on the police and fire brigade? Should criminals become homeless in the future?
A very odd suggestion. Apparently, Lauterbach himself noticed that too – he deleted his first tweet of 2023 again…
