The Nashville Predators placed Tolvasen on the waivers list on Sunday. The other clubs had 24 hours to pick up the Finnish striker for their ranks.
If no one had recruited Tolva, he would have been moved to the Predators’ farm team.
Teemu Selänne tweeted that he hoped the Anaheim Ducks would pick up Tolvanen.
– Hopefully Ducks, the hockey legend wrote on Twitter.
Tolvanen has played 13 matches this season with 2+2. The Predators’ 2017 first-round pick opened the season with three points in the first three games, but since then has also been destined to sit in the stands.
Last season, the Finnish talent scored 75 points in 23 matches. The power balance of the entire NHL career is 25+26=51.
