Badminton star Cheryl Seinen from Roermond has fulfilled her favorite role. Together with her doubles partner Debora Jille, she convincingly won the Dutch National Championships in the Topsportcentrum Almere.
As the reigning Dutch champion, 26-year-old Cheryl Seinen was placed first. In February 2020 she also managed to take the Dutch double title, then with Selena Piek. Last year the Dutch National Championships did not take place.
Convincingly
Seinen and Jille won their final convincingly with 21-14 and 22-20 against the duo Myke Halkema and Alysse Tirtosentono. Seinen and Jille were a size too big for De Laak and Versteeg in the semi-finals: 21-9 and 21-2.
singles
All favorites for the Dutch titles turned out to fulfill their role. In the men’s singles, Mark Caljouw again won, winning his fifth national title. Gayle Mahulette won her fourth Dutch women’s title.
