Ronaldo transfer “difficult”
Cristiano Ronaldo with Lionel Messi at French champions Paris Saint-Germain? For President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, this variant is inconceivable. “I admire him. He’s a legend, one of the best footballers in history. But it’s difficult for us with the three players we have (Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé; ed.) “said the PSG boss to the TV station sky and spoke highly of the Portuguese, who recently terminated his contract with Manchester United: “He’s fantastic and he’s still a great player.”
With a market value of 20 million euros, Ronaldo is by far the most valuable player without a contract and would be available on a free transfer. The Portuguese had dismissed rumors of an alleged impending move to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr FC as “untrue” during the week. In view of the high demands in terms of salary, not many clubs are left for the superstar, which is why the name PSG has been mentioned again and again.
When it comes to the French capital’s club, things are unlikely to look much better in the current line-up when it comes to playing times, which caused a bad mood for Ronaldo both at Man United in the first half of the season and recently with the Portuguese national team in Qatar. Messi, Mbappé and Neymar have each made at least 19 appearances for PSG this season, scoring a combined 46 goals. This makes them by far the most dangerous trio in Europe.

Meanwhile, the future of the three stars beyond the summer is unclear. Messi’s contract ends in June, and Al-Khelaïfi announced a conversation for after the World Cup: “There is no decision from him or from our side.”
PSG interested in Rashford: Al-Khelaïfi hopes ‘we can talk to him’
Also without a working paper for the 2023/24 season is Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. With a market value of 55 million euros, the 25-year-old is the second most valuable professional with this status, ahead of Messi (overview). Al-Khelaïfi has already publicly expressed his interest. “Every club would like to have Rashford for free. We’re not going to talk to him now. Let him focus on the World Cup. After that, in January, I hope we can talk to him.”
