What services does a sustainable current account offer?
A sustainable current account usually offers the same services as a conventional current account. You get a debit or credit card and can use it to withdraw money from ATMs. The ATMs usually belong either to the BankCard ServiceNetz (BSN) or to the CashPool network. How expensive the money withdrawals are or up to what monthly volume depends on the bank.
What is special about a sustainable current account is that you know relatively exactly what will happen to the money that you deposit there. It is not only possible to exclude companies from certain sectors from lending, it is also possible to decide in some cases for which sectors loans are given preferentially. For example, you can choose companies from the fields of education, renewable energies or social institutions.
