In a hard-fought match, the Brazilians beat Switzerland 1-0 on Monday.
Record world champion Brazil has prematurely reached the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar. The South Americans beat Switzerland 1-0 (0-0) at the 974 Stadium in Doha on Monday evening.
Casemiro scored in the 83rd minute in front of 43,649 spectators for the Seleção’s second victory.
Brazil, leaders in Group G with six points before the last matchday next Friday, can no longer be relegated from one of the top two places.
Switzerland (3), Cameroon and Serbia follow with one point each. Brazil will play against Cameroon, Switzerland against Serbia.
