Singer Floor Jansen from Goirle has had another week full of performances after she recovered from breast cancer. She underwent surgery a month ago, this week she blasted off the stage again in Antwerp and London. “It’s intense to be back on stage after such a roller coaster ride!”
The singer of the Finnish metal band Nightwish writes on Instagram that she is grateful that she can finally be back on stage. “A ride in itself, with all kinds of emotions going through me during the great songs with Nightwish. What a kick-off!”
Satisfying
She says she’s not quite her old self yet, but thanks to the energy of the audience and the people she works with, she was finally able to get back on stage. “I’m so grateful to be able to do it again after all the trials and tribulations of late.”
The singer recently revealed that she is cancer-free and that she had no doubts that her European tour could continue. After last week’s performances, she will be in Berlin on Friday and next weekend in Amsterdam.
Routine check
All in all, Jansen recovered quickly. A month ago, the singer informed her fans that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The tumor was discovered accidentally during a routine checkup.
“The scariest thing is that I didn’t feel it. I thought I was healthy. If I hadn’t gone to that checkup, it would have been far from being discovered and could have grown much further.”
