BUT he’s right in a lot of ways… and more importantly… he wanted to leave for the summer anyway, Man Utd decided against it… put obstacles in his way. Because there were offers, well… for Ronaldo. Of course, Manchester would not have done well financially… but that was no longer to be expected.
But they didn’t want to let him go and they laid this egg themselves.
It was perfectly clear that Ronaldo would be so dissatisfied. And no club can afford dissatisfied players of his caliber without it flying in his face.
Jup Ronaldo takes it easy here, but the way ten Hag treated him (from day one) and the club resisted making a change… it’s no wonder Ronaldo gets stinky.
So much for legal action… oh, I think Ronaldo would be very happy if one could point to “club-damaging behavior” or something like that, seems to me like it’s really going to be aimed at it… The main thing is that it’s all gone. It’s also completely clear that he doesn’t care about money here… not surprising, he earns most of his money elsewhere anyway, and on top of that he swims in it anyway.
A change during the upcoming transfer period is inevitable. But you could have saved yourself all the cheese by allowing him to switch in the summer…
So I see the buck clearly lying with the club. They have to blame themselves for this foreseeable annoyance.
I don’t know where he will go… It’s difficult or even impossible to predict. The options like sporting in summer are a bit harder to do now, but they’re still there.
The bottom line is that he should now look for a club that plays the Champions League, but apart from the national championship it usually bakes smaller rolls… and where he can end his career happily as the star he is, with a sufficient sporting challenge, but no longer in concert with the really big ones…
Just think of the league in Portugal… at Sporting it would come full circle, as the saying goes. But I think that all doors are open to him in Portugal if the financial situation is right.
