Successful comeback by Pekeler

Kiel improved significantly in the second round and left no doubt about victory after the break. The North Germans are now only one point behind leaders Füchse Berlin with 20:4 points.

Defense specialist Hendrik Pekeler made his comeback at Kiel after a six-month break due to injury (torn Achilles tendon). The 31-year-old made his first appearance in the 22nd minute when his team was 10:13 behind.

15th loss in the 15th game for the HCE

Erlangen, who had previously suffered 14 defeats in 14 games against Kiel, were still leading 16:13 two minutes before the break. With a 6:0 run, THW then turned the game in its favor.

Erlangen now found hardly any solutions against the guest defense with a strong goalkeeper Niklas Landin. Especially from the outside positions, the Franks had big problems against the two-time world handball player from Denmark.
