Esko Seppänen has shaped his Urheilucast into a successful product in four years. ES Rhapsody Oy, founded and run by Seppänen alone, guaranteed an operating profit of almost 410,000 euros with a turnover of around 460,000 euros last year.
ES Rhapsody paid income tax of almost 83,000 euros. Seppänen did not pay himself a salary, but the company distributed a dividend of 150,000 euros.
ES Rhapsody achieves its results entirely with podcast functionality. Eurovirta consists of Urheilucast’s advertising sales and ancillary product sales.
Sportscast is, as the name suggests, a sports-themed entertainment podcast hosted by Seppänen. He has been heard as a regular guest of the program during this year Ismo from Lehko.
Seppänen talks about current sports topics in a lively and energetic tone, answers listener questions and offers insights into the betting sites of his partner Coolbet.
The core of the sports cast is also the A-class guests. During the autumn, they have been in the voice Sebastian Aho, Olaus Alinen, Mikael Granlund, Jarmo Kekäläinen, Anton Lundell, Olli-Pekka Ojansivu and Kalle Rovanperä.
– The content is not very high quality, but there is a lot of it on offer, Seppänen grins on Urheilucast’s website.
– A new episode is out every single Monday, Wednesday and Friday, when you wake up to a new day.
Seppänen did not want to comment on his company’s activities and results to Iltalehti.
