Four hundredths decide the Last Woman Standing

The seventh season of Ninja Warrior Germany is in the hot phase. Who will secure the tickets for the grand finale? Who is the new Last Woman Standing? sport.de looks back on the second semi-final.

Showdown in the toughest course in Germany: In the two semi-final programs, the remaining ninjas want to keep their dream of overall victory alive.

In order to make it into the grand finale, speed is of the essence. Only the best 35 from the two programs in the semi-finals advance. In addition, the five winners from the preliminary rounds are sure to advance to the final.

There is a special monetary incentive in the two preliminary rounds: the fastest athlete from the semi-finals receives a proud bonus of 10,000 euros. There is 5,000 euros for second place overall and 2,500 euros for third place.

Which of the starters was able to prevail in the second semi-final? Which ninjas are in the all-important final. sport.de provides the answer!

Casselly with the fastest time in the semifinals

René Casselly started as the top favourite. After all, the 26-year-old was able to become the first Ninja Warrior Germany last year.

In the second semi-final, Casselly emphasized that victory is only about him. With a strong time of 50.24 seconds, the defending champion was the only athlete to stay under the one-minute mark and thus secured the EUR 10,000 bonus prize money.

Second place in the semifinals went to Moritz Hans (1:01.09). The podium was completed by Benedikt Sigmund (1:04.42).

This put the trio in position for the grand finale. But the other ninjas are definitely to be expected.

Messner is crowned Last Woman Standing

The second semi-final was about nothing less than the Last Woman Standing title. Stefanie Edelmann had already set a time of 2:24.48 in the first semi-final.

Leonie Huber was able to go one better with her performance in the second semi-final and buzzed in a time of 2:16.89. The just 16-year-old temporarily took the lead in the women’s ranking.

But then came Andrea Messner, who finished in 2:16.85 minutes and thus landed four hundredths ahead of Huber. No athlete was able to beat these records and so Messner triumphed as Last Woman Standing. The 27-year-old collects 25,000 euros for her title and follows Stefanie Edelmann, who was the best athlete in the last two years.

The obstacles in the course

In both semi-finals, it’s over the surfboards to the swinging blades. If you don’t let yourself be thrown off balance on the plank walk, you can take off to a whirlwind on the pole flight.

The chimney with flaps lets the muscles really burn at the end.
