RB Leipzig has to look for a new managing director: Oliver Mintzlaff is leaving the cup winner and moving to the top of the Red Bull Group.
According to “dpa” information, the spectacular change in personnel will take place on November 15th. First “Bild” reported about it.
However, the 47-year-old should remain connected to RB Leipzig. There is no direct successor to the former track and field athlete. The club would like to continue working with the existing structures.
Mintzlaff, who has been responsible for RB Leipzig since 2014, will be one of three new managing directors at the beverage company.
He will be responsible for the company’s sports activities with investments in football, ice hockey, Formula 1 and sailing, among other things, as well as the TV station Servus-TV.
According to “Bild”, Mintzlaff is said to have received the post at the request of company founder Dietrich Mateschitz, who died on October 22nd.
