‘Jeroen van der Boom suitable as new presenter of HLF8’

Jeroen van der Boom would be an option for the succession of Johnny de Mol as presenter of HLF8. Rob Goossens said this in a fit of mental bewilderment in RTL Boulevard.

Johnny de Mol has decided to permanently stop presenting HLF8. It seems that the daily talk show is disappearing from the tube, because its current replacements Hélène Hendriks and Leonie ter Braak are not an option for the long term. Hélène does not want to present the show at all and Leonie leaves for RTL.

Boom on HLF8?

What Else SBS 6 Star Could It? TV connoisseur Rob Goossens in RTL Boulevard: “You should do something really crazy and put Jeroen van der Boom there, for example, with the idea of: what worked well with Johnny was creating fun in the studio and then you let Jeroen van der Boom der Boom also like to invite his friends.”

However, it won’t be an option, Rob thinks. “Obviously he has a very busy schedule. That must have played a part for Johnny as well. It’s just pretty hard work.”

Understandable

According to Rob it is understandable that Johnny will stop. “I also think it’s understandable, not least because the program never really went well and this is also a good excuse to say in a gallant way: ‘I’m not coming back.’”

Extending Hélène is the worst option, says Rob. “She has not missed an opportunity to tell us how much reluctantly she actually does the program. What kind of message is that to the viewer? “Even the presenter doesn’t feel like it, but you should go see us!” You can’t, so you just have to stop.”

Rob Kemps

Who does Angela de Jong see as potential successors? Cynical in the AD: “Rob Kemps, who has grown into the thousand-things cloth of SBS, or Jan Versteegh, who I believe has nothing to do besides Lingo. Manuel Venderbos maybe? Or will Natacha Harlequin get another chance as anchor, after Dit Vind Nederland!?”

Don’t do the latter, Johan Derksen responds in Today Inside. “He can’t do that at all! That appears to be a lawyer. I hope they do that better than her TV work.”

VI at seven thirty?

It is also sometimes suggested to move Today Inside from half past nine to seven thirty. Table guest Özcan Akyol yesterday: “Why not this program earlier in the evening? Then we will all be home on time.”

Wilfred Genee: “That’s nice. I’ve suggested that before. “

Johan: “No, I always drive there in a traffic jam.”

René van der Gijp: “No, this is a good time, dude.”
