Kraftwerk have announced that their album REMIXES will now also be released on CD and vinyl. The album was first available in 2020, but only digitally.
The record will be released as a triple LP and a double CD. As the title suggests, the album features a range of features with DJs and producers such as François Kervorkian, William Orbit, Étienne de Crécy, Orbital, Underground Resistance, DJ Rolando and Hot Chip.
REMIXES includes tracks from the last 30 years of Kraftwerk’s career. Some songs even feature multiple interpretations by the same producers, making the record a real collector’s item for fans of the band.
New track “Non Stop”
In addition to new interpretations of classics such as “Die Roboter” and “Aéro Dynamic” there is also a new release on the album. “Non-Stop” was originally a 30-second MTV recording from the 1980s, from which the group had already produced an eight-minute song for the 2020 release.
Even after 50 years in the music business, Kraftwerk still don’t seem to be thinking about retiring. Just last year, the group was honored with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Early Influence Award. From May onwards, Kraftwerk will do another North American tour.
