Truck driver Angelo (25) from Alkmaar has passed away. The trucker received early October a heart attack when he took a truck ride through Austria with his fiancée Esmée. Esmée now shares on TikTok that her boyfriend has died in a hospital in Vienna. “I will never forget you and will always love you,” she shares her sadness.
“After 3.5 weeks of fighting, you have lost the battle,” Esmée writes in her TikTok, an ode to her late friend Angelo. The couple’s private photos describe her loss and the loss to those who knew Angelo. The couple in love had just gotten engaged and traveling together when Angelo suffered a heart attack. “I will always be your fiancé,” she emphasizes in the personal video. The couple was together for 4 years.

3.5 weeks of fighting
Since October 4, Angelo’s fiancé and family’s life has been turned upside down. After a heart attack in the truck, Angelo is in mortal danger and is kept in a coma by doctors. He is taken to the nearest hospital. There, after an investigation, it is decided to take him by trauma helicopter to a university hospital in Vienna, where he ends up in the Intensive Care Unit.
There he is connected to a heart-lung machine for a while and he receives kidney dialysis. At that point, he is too weak to have surgery. “His heart had to work very hard before he got any complaints. In addition, the tumor produces hormones that upset his entire body. The doctors hope that by keeping him in a coma, he can strengthen,” said the aunt. van Angelo, Tanja Nijssen from Hoogwoud at the time against NH Nieuws.

Every day she receives several app messages from her sister, Angelo’s mother. “For example, she announced yesterday that the doctors are going to try something to strengthen his heart. Donation campaign
To put a heart to her cousin and family, the Hoogwoudse Tanja Nijssen put a donation campaign on. With the donated money, the family can cover all costs for the stay there, as well as other unforeseen costs.
