When politics fails to explain the inexplicable, conspiracy theories appear. The concept of ‘deep state’ is used by many analysts to explain the movements of high state officials to safeguard their interests above the conjunctures and partisan miseries. Possibly there is some truth to that theory. But in no case can what they call the ‘deep state’ be something organized because it would be subject to immediate legal action for conspiracy to commit sedition.
